Tips

10-Bevel Tip

One tip of this blade has been beveled to allow for quicker seating in FLEXO applications. In ROTOGRAVURE applications, a bevel tip may be useful when a stiffer wipe (less contact area) is needed to help lessen haze or fog. Our standard bevel is set at 15° and tapers to within .002(what measurement?) of the blade’s full gauge at the tip. The other side of the blade has our “True”" radius tip.

25-True Radius Tip

The most popular FLEXO edge. “True” radius means both sides of this blade are rounded making it a safer blade to handle prior to use. This is unique when compared to many materials available on the market. Either tip will doctor or meter well so it’s quick and easy to set the blade into the holder. The radius of the tip contacts the radius of the anilox / cylinder at a single point. After a short break-in or “seating” period, usually 1-2 minutes, the blade is at full “seat” helping to extend the blade’s life.

50-Lamella Tip

The most popular ROTOGRAVURE edge. One tip of this blade has been modified to taper down to 50% of the blade’s full thickness and then extend to the final tip. This tip is designed to offer the rotogravure printer more flexibility at the tip allowing the contact area to widen or flatten.
