Steel Blades
SWEDCUT® Premium Brand Doctor Blades offer unique advantages. They are manufactured from a range of proprietary steel compositions and structures. Each type of SWEDCUT® steel is developed to meet today’s demanding performance challenges faced by flexographic and rotogravure printers and coaters. SWEDCUT® is the only steel doctor blade to be entirely manufactured, from design to the finished product in the box, under strict ISO 9001:2000 (process control) and ISO 14001:2004 (environmentally friendly) CERTIFIED QUALITY ASSURANCE programs. What’s more, in order to assure absolute product consistency, our proprietary steel is always single sourced in SWEDEN.
The primary performance advantages of SWEDCUT® Premium Steel Doctor Blades include:
- Superior ink metering.
- Fewer print defects like lines.
- Slow & even tip wear.
- Reduced friction.
- Less wear to anilox roll and cylinder.
- Smaller, less threatening wear and debris.
- Fewer reasons to stop during a run.

Industry Applications
Has a proprietary ink repellant coating that eliminates particles that collect behind the blade. It also eliminates the formation of silvers and many common print defects such as streaks, fog, haze while reducing overall waste in roto applications. Its lower friction extends the life of the blade and cylinder many times.
